We deeply reluctant to make knee-jerk changes
By: Jhh Ggh
Well, to me the alternative is "Go big and stick to your guns!" Blizz
is too quick to back down and make changes based on the whining of
players who often have no idea what they're talking about. Or make nerfs
that are just bizarre and bad ideas in their own right (the recent
Charge fiasco). WOW Gold.I was happy at the start of MoP when
GC defended Arms warriors and how random their burst was based on
uncontrollable procs. Then they reversed course and completely
changed/eliminated it. That kind of behavior makes me stop trusting the
developers and what they say about skills and abilities.
Well, they are human.
/>They're deeply reluctant to make knee-jerk
changes, but they're open to hearing people's feedback, and if
convincing arguments match up with their own observations and there's a
major imbalance problem occurring, it's something that has to be
addressed. Sometimes they'll be able to do it (or feel it's urgent
enough that it needs to be done) quickly, sometimes less so. Sometimes
it means nerfing something or making it less exciting but not having
anything immediately ready to replace it with.

Yeah, i get that they're human, i don't expect perfection. But I
disagree with the statement that "They're deeply reluctant to make
knee-jerk changes," as I've seen them do that very thing time and time
again. The history of WoW is filled with "X is OP, MASSIVE NERF TO X, X
is now bad, slight buff to X, slight buff to X, slight buff to X, X is
now ok."

I've always wished for nerfs/buffs as a
scalpel, not a cudgel. But instead, I've seen a two-handed bludgeon used
over and over again on every class in the game.
