Small things such as a locked auto-sprint, a cleaner UI and better handling with touch-screen controls create Maple Story a more enjoyable mobile experience. It also just Maplestory M Mesos performs better in general, with a cleaner frame-rate (it performs better than the Xbox One version of Maple Story also.)
The auto pick-up mechanic is remarkably intuitive in Maple Story cellular as well, and the addition of bots helps make the game accessible to newcomers right off the bat. All of this adds up to one fact: Maple Story mobile only feels like an authentic cellular sport, whereas Fortnite doesn't--at least not yet.
Maybe Maple Story cellphone's greatest weakness is still trying to be too accurate to the first game. The maps are just too large and the games too long. If Tencent and Maple Story Corp would give us a couple smaller maps--maybe a 2 km x 2 km map? Smaller? --it would be the perfect mobile battle royale. This new level is a quarter the size of Erangel or Miramar, which would be the two existing maps which are live on the servers right now. To make sure that Savage is equally as good as possible as it goes live, Maple Story Corp. is asking for your feedback on how it plays.
To acquire that feedback, the studio will hold a more benefit closed testing stage that begins April 2 at 7 p.m. Pacific time and ends April 5 at 4 a.m. Pacific.
To get in, you will need a code to access the experimental construct of Maple Story.
